Aimé Dubost, my grandfather left the estate to my father's brother in 1958. My father, Henri Dubost, decided to take it over in 1960 to renovate it and improve the vines to make it one of the most famous estates in the region. Today I work with my two sons on the estate and I hope that the fourth generation will continue the actions undertaken so that the estate can prosper.
You can't be a winegrower overnight. This profession is practiced out of passion, as the work in the vineyard is so meticulous but also in the cellar when it comes to making the wine. It is then necessary to succeed in transmitting this passion in our wines in order to produce quality wines but also to sell them to different types of customers such as individuals, wine merchants, restaurateurs, wine bars...
The quality of the wines is sought by traditional customers both in Paris and in the provinces. Today, we export around 60% of our production to some twenty countries such as Great Britain, Dubai, Canada, the United States, Australia, Japan, China, Chile and Mexico. On our estate, we have a museum of antique materials, guest rooms, and our tasting cellar which is located in the centre of Beaujeu called "La Cavinière".
