The Domaine is composed of an exceptionally well located vineyard with granitic soil facing due south, with an average annual production of 70,000 bottles, Pierre and Thomas Baur rely on the traditions of past generations while keeping an eye on the future. Their deep knowledge of the terroir allows them to improve the complexity of the wines they produce.

Our story


Pierre and Thomas have chosen to pursue another level of quality by converting the entire estate into biodynamic agriculture (certified organic by Ecocert since 1998, certified biodynamic in 2001 by Biodyvin): "Biodynamics adds a layer of complexity, purity and ensures balanced wines" Thomas: "The high quality of our wines is directly linked to the attention we pay to the vines".

Other little stories

Legend The Blood of the Dragon, made with only plain Pinot Noir and Brand hillside, takes its name from the legend telling the story of the ancestral life of the dragons, living on the Brand, and whose blood, after their death, spilled into the soil, making it more fertile. These plots have a high planting density and low yields, resulting in a richer and more concentrated wine. This cuvée is aged in barrels between 18 and 20 months.
