Domaine Gauffroy has been in existence since 1938. Nicolas Gauffroy represents the 3rd generation who cultivates the family plots and vinifies wines always and again in the tradition and with the Burgundian know-how!
Thanks to my five years of internship across France, I was able to bring in some new ideas and know-how that gave the estate a "youthful boost". This combined with my father's long experience in the vinification of our wines, we create wines that are both fresh and with exceptional ageing potential.
Our domain is a family domain where I work with my parents. From the vine to the bottling we manage, decide and execute everything ourselves. Our parcels that will be vinified are selected at the harvest, which is done manually by a team of loyal friends who have been with us for many years. Choosing the most balanced plot is already a big step towards a wine of excellence, which is why we do not neglect anything! Our wines do not undergo any treatment (yeasts, enzyming......), the proportion of new barrels is minimal and the vinification times are respected each year. We play the card of the typicality of our terroirs and do not want to "de-typise" our wines, which is why we vinify in this way in accordance with the Burgundian tradition.
