The vineyard is located on clay-limestone slopes facing southwest, at the foot of the Savoyard. The stony scree soil makes it a preferred terroir for our white and red wines. The grapes are harvested by hand, in small crates to avoid damaging the grapes. A selective sorting is done in the vineyard.
My family has long owned a winery in the commune of Chignin, south-east of Chambéry. The estate was sold in 1976. The vines only left the family for a few decades, until I received training to learn the wine making profession.
It is my passion for wine and everything that surrounds this estate that led me to study winemaking in Beaune. In order to gain experience - and always as part of my studies - I did my apprenticeship at Domaine Patrice Rion in Burgundy. My journey transcribes in a totally transparent way what drives me on a daily basis: my passion for wine! Logically, later on, I created my estate in 2006 by buying 2.5 ha of vines in Chignin on the steep slopes of the Bauges massif. Since then, the estate has extended over 6.5 hectares, where the Jacquère, Mondeuse, Roussanne and Gamay grape varieties coexist, and the stony scree soil makes it a favourite terroir for our white and red wines. The grapes are harvested by hand, in small crates to avoid damaging the grapes. A selective sorting is done in the vineyard.
No, you're not dreaming, welcome to the Domaine! Above all, it is synonymous with sharing and conviviality: the life of the estate is based on this principle. Produce wines to bring people together for a Savoy wine accompanied by a good cheese or sausage from our mountains! Above all, it is synonymous with sharing and conviviality.
