The domain's short story
The vineyard is located on clay-limestone slopes facing southwest, at the foot of the Savoyarde. The soil of stony scree makes it a terroir of choice for our white and red wines. The harvest is done by hand, in small boxes to avoid damaging the grapes. A selective sorting is made in the vineyard. My family has owned a wine estate for a long time in the commune of Chignin, south-east of Chambéry. The estate was sold in 1976. The vines only left the family for a few decades, until I trained to become a winemaker. It was my passion for wine and everything that surrounds this domain that led me to study viticulture in Beaune. In order to gain experience - and still within the framework of my studies - I did my apprenticeship at Domaine Patrice Rion, in Burgundy. My path transcribes in a totally transparent way what drives me every day: my passion for wine! Logically, I then created my own domain in 2006 by buying 2.5 ha of vineyards in Chignin on the slopes of the Bauges massif. Since then, the estate has grown to 6.5 hectares, where Jacquère, Mondeuse, Roussanne and Gamay grapes are grown side by side, and the stony scree soil makes it a perfect terroir for our white and red wines. The harvest is done by hand, in small boxes to avoid damaging the grapes. A selective sorting is made in the vineyard.
