The choice of our grape varieties, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, clearly encourages us to adopt a thoughtful and respectful agriculture. We are in Reasoned Culture. Thus we do not use any material classified as hazardous. We do not use any excess products, not even copper and sulphur. It is by varying techniques and adapting to the seasons that we maintain good health.
On the estate, 70% of the vines are old, more than 45 years old. They produce complex wines, both fruity and elegant. This quality has a price: low yields. Our goal is to preserve the myriad of yeasts present on the log film: they guarantee the expression of different climates. Harvested entirely by hand, traditional and natural vinification. Then, in a quiet and uncomplicated way, the wines receive the same attention during their ageing in oak barrels. Finally, the bottling is preceded or not by clarification or filtration.
A family property for several generations among the oldest winegrowers' families in Savigny-lès-Beaune, the estate is currently run by Jean-Marc Naudin, grandson of the Paul Naudin family in Arnay-le-Duc. Jean-Marc Naudin was keen to develop the wine business in Côte-de-Nuits. He therefore naturally settled in an authentic 18th century vaulted cellar, a former cooperative cellar in the famous village of Nuits-Saint-Georges.
The estate currently has 15 appellations, half in Côte de Beaune, Savigny, Pommard, Corton and half in Côte de Nuits Saint Georges, Vosne Romanée, Chambolle-Musigny with several 1er crus and a grand cru particularly focused on excellence.
Jean-Marc Naudin comes from one of the oldest winegrowing families in Savigny-les-Beaunes. Jean-Marc, himself the grandson of the winegrower of the Maison Paul Naudin, wanted to settle in Côte de Nuits in an old cooperative cellar with vaulted cellars to develop his own activity.
