Our story

The Domaine LA DIFFERENCE is ideally located, between the Mediterranean Sea and the Pyrenees, in the commune of Tautavel, in the heart of the Roussillon region. This magnificent valley has an exceptional history because for more than 450,000 years, Man has been present on this corner of the earth which is favourable to vine growing. The history of our estate is above all a story of friendship: four men, all passionate about wine and in love with the Tautavel terroir, decided 15 years ago to make their dream come true by buying a few hectares of vines in the Roussillon. Located in the foothills of the Corbières massif, our vines, surrounded by garrigues, now cover 13 hectares of schistose marl and clay-limestone soil. Anxious to preserve our environment and our exceptional terroir, we have committed ourselves to the agro-ecological transition and in 2019 obtained HVE 3 certification and this year began our conversion to organic farming. Nature, respected in this way, gives us back a hundredfold the price of our efforts and offers us an extraordinary field of expression that we are keen to share with our customers through full-bodied, complex wines, all in finesse and elegance. Our short range of wines also bears witness to this desire to offer only the best of our terroir: only six cuvées, low yields and enigmatic packaging that leave no one indifferent.
