Born in the vineyards, Jacqueline and René Clar were able to realize their dream by creating, from a few family vines, a vineyard of 60 hectares. More hectares for them, more happiness for us. Today it is David Costa who has taken over the torch of this magnificent estate with its incredible terroirs! Let yourself be rocked by the Lauriga sunLire plus Learn more
The Lauriga estate was historically part of the terroir called "Laurinya", the cradle of Byrrh. The famous aperitif had its moment of glory in the 1930s. At the time, the Clar family, like many winegrowers, brought their harvests to Byrrh. When Jacqueline and René took over the estate, they restructured the scattered vines and modernized the cellar. Soon you will also be able to organize your receptions at the estate, as Jacqueline is restoring an old hangar for this purpose.
"Domaine Lauriga has been run by our family for 4 generations. Everyone was a winegrower in the village. The discussions revolved around the land, plantations, ploughing, harvesting and family stories. The children were immersed and proud to belong to this world of winegrowers. So it was only natural that we took over."
"To see stars glitter in the eyes of those who, pleasantly surprised, taste our wines, is our most beautiful reward, the one that makes us forget the tiredness, doubts, the anguish of not perceiving these small stars and that makes us so proud of our terroir and our know-how."
