Three years ago, my father said to me, "Listen, my son, you've been wasting your time in Paris for ten years, so either you go home or I sell". I then replied: "Listen Dad, the next TGV departure from Gare de Lyon is in 22 minutes. If I can get the 14, I can have it and be there tonight. If my first experiences with the vine were the Montmartre harvest, I am now following in the footsteps of the great winemaker who is my father.Lire plus Learn more
"Since the 17th century, our family has been farming these lands after the purchase of a plot of land north of the appellation from the Bishop of Avignon. It was not until 1954 that the estate took the name "Les Cailloux". In 1971, the estate grew at high speed under the direction of André Brunel, who took over the family estate. It is only in 2012 that I join my father to perpetuate the family history and its values: the desire to produce wines that are characteristic of our terroir while remaining elegant and of great finesse."
"Wine must always remain a pleasure product. The winegrower is not there to put forward a label but a terroir and know-how. Being a winegrower is a rather complex mix between diametrically opposed professions: farmer, vivifier, salesman (the greatest winegrowers are also people who have been able to showcase themselves and embody an image) and company manager. My passion for wine comes from many tasting evenings with friends to taste, discuss, criticize, analyze... and finally taste again, always in moderation! The wine that most resembles me is the Sommelongue. It is a wine for friends, nice, fruity, round, powerful but not too much. Good for an aperitif or a meal."
"Our new products: the Domaine is pleased to welcome ten new hectares in the Vin de Pays appellation. Personally, I am always impressed when, during a tasting with many wines, we come across a bottle that stands out from the crowd, when it is the same vintage, the same appellation, the same grape variety. You can't help but think that there are still people with real talent."
