Anecdotes about the domain
The estate has been awarded many times in recent years by the greatest national and international critics Robert Parker (Wine Advocate), International Trophy at the DWWA (Decanter World Wide Awards), best quality/price ratio for the 2014 vintage at the RVF (Revue du Vin de France).
The domain's short story
The young and dynamic family estate has been handed down from generation to generation since 1610 in the cradle of Alsatian wine. Oenologist by training, I have worked in various prestigious fields in France; in Champagne, Burgundy and abroad, in South Africa and Chile. In 2000, I took over the estate, succeeding my father, Paul. Our philosophy is to produce dry, elegant wines that reflect our terroir. Respectful and concerned about the environment, we have been following the precepts of organic farming for more than 10 years and we are currently in conversion to organic farming.
The winemaker's pride
The estate has 12 hectares ideally located in Eguisheim on marl-calcareous sandstone soils and including two great growths (Eichberg and Pfersigberg). In the cellar, I personally produce all the wines, taking particular care, at each stage of vinification and maturation, to preserve the natural expression of our grape varieties and the mineral identity of our different terroirs.
