We are independent winegrowers located in the commune of Saint-Bonnet-sur-Gironde. Our philosophy is to produce everything that the vine can produce, grape juice, local wines, sparkling wine, cognac and of course Pineau des Charentes (the mixture of several of these products) It is very important for us to produce in respect of the environment through sustainable agriculture and an ongoing process towards H.V.E. certification. (High Environmental Value). To highlight this approach, we welcome tourists and wine and spirit lovers and offer you the opportunity to visit our distillery and cognac ageing cellars and discover our vineyard during a guided walk. You will be able to see this remarkable viewpoint on the Gironde Estuary which provides us with an exceptional microclimate.
Since 1919, the date of the purchase of the property by our great-grandfather, the estate has continued to grow by adapting to new technologies, market conditions and environmental constraints. The first hectare of vines planted by our grandfather Auguste in 1924. This row of vines still produces (and can be visited). Our father Raymond launched his own cognac production in 1965 and then the bottling of cognac and Pineau in 1970, and today we are planting our 54th hectare estate in Charentes, in a family atmosphere and with the desire to produce good wine.
Even today, Raymond, over 88 years old, is still in charge of the operations at the vineyard with an iron fist. Growing the vines, working in the cellar and marketing, he is involved at all stages of wine making with the methods used by independent winegrowers.
