Anecdotes about the domain
I see my job as a winemaker as an opportunity to combine the modern techniques I learned in Australia with the French style. I came to the Southern Rhone Valley where the unique terroir and grape varieties allow me to produce fruity and powerful wines. I can also age my juices in old wooden barrels and I love the result: balanced, elegant and complex wines.
The domain's short story
Here, we take care of the environment and our old vines: their age is according to us their most beautiful advantage. We therefore support the soil, plants and animals that are naturally present in the vineyard. The goal is that the roots of our vines get the nutrients they need to grow as deeply as possible. The principles of biodynamics help us on a daily basis to follow our goals. We maintain the life of natural microbes and have banned the use of any pesticides, herbicides or phytosanitary products. We restrict ourselves to the use of copper and sulfur in addition to other natural solutions.
The winemaker's pride
In the domain, we cultivate 9 hectares of vines according to the specifications of biodynamic farming. Since 2007, we are located in Sainte Cécile les Vignes between Orange and Vaison la Romaine. We produce light and fruity wines not far from the great appellations of the Southern Rhône Valley such as Châteauneuf-du-Pâpe or Gigondas. The vineyard is mainly composed of old vines. We rely on traditional Rhone techniques to vinify our wines: this is how we manage to give our different vintages the taste of our Terroir. For the red wines, we blend Grenache and Carignan. However, two of our vintages are made exclusively from Grenache. On the white side, the wines are a blend of more than 10 Atlantic and local grape varieties. In total, we produce one white wine, one rosé wine and three red wines.
