At the estate, we cultivate 9 hectares of vines according to the biodynamic specifications. Since 2007, we have been living in Sainte Cécile les Vignes between Orange and Vaison la Romaine. We produce light and fruity wines not far from the great appellations of the southern Rhône Valley such as Châteauneuf-du-Pâpe or Gigondas.
The vineyard is mainly composed of old vines. We rely on traditional Rhodanian techniques to make our wines: this is how we manage to make our different vintages taste like our terroir.
For red wines, we blend Grenache and Carignan. However, two of our vintages are only made from Grenache. On the white side, the wines are a blend of more than 10 Atlantic and local grape varieties. In total, we produce one white, one rosé and three red wines.
Here, we take care of the environment and our old vines: we believe their age is their best advantage. We therefore bring to life the soil, plants and animals that are naturally present in the vineyard. The aim is for the roots of our vines to draw as deeply as possible the nutrients they need to develop.
The principles of biodynamics help us to follow our objectives on a daily basis. We maintain the life of natural microbes and have banned the use of all pesticides, herbicides or plant protection products of any kind. We limit ourselves to the use of copper and sulphur as a complement to other natural solutions.
I see my job as a winegrower as an opportunity to harmonize the modern techniques I learned in Australia to combine them with the French style. I arrived in the Southern Rhône Valley where the unique terroir and the grape varieties that are present make it possible to produce fruity and powerful wines. I can also grow my juices in old wooden barrels and I love the result: balanced, elegant and complex wines.
