The estate being on several communes; concerning the Beaumes de Venise two terroirs stand out. A silica and saffron from Miocene which is particularly dedicated to the Muscat de Beaumes de Venise. Then the second, based on trias which is a red clay suitable for red Beaumes de Venise. On Vacqueyras, there are also two terroirs: grey clay and limestone, the second one is made up of rolled galleys, for the Côtes du Rhône, we are on very deep sandy clays and to finish the côtes du ventoux on sandy and calcareous soils, the Domaine ST ROCH is a dream site for any winegrower. The diversity of grape varieties and climatic conditions offer us an extremely rich palette of aromas, colours and flavours that allow us to create unique blends that express the complexity and characteristics of our different terroirs.
If we go back in time, we find the name "Meissonnier" in the middle of the 18th century living in the village of Beaumes de Venise. Today, there are 16 generations of passionate farmers who have succeeded each other over the years, passing on all their knowledge. At the beginning, agriculture was diversified: olive growing, arboriculture, market gardening and wine growing. The last three generations have specialized in viticulture. Today Stéphanie and Stéphane make their wines with passion in the cellar of the ST ROCH estate.
Initiated as soon as it arrived, all the restructuring work in the vineyard and cellar with the creation of a modern cellar, bears fruit from the outset with numerous citations or awards received: gold and silver medals at the Paris General Competition, silver and bronze at the Orange competition, gold medal at the Lyon competition.
