Domaine Sarrat d'en Sol. In Occitan, my vines are on the sun hill. Family estate located in the Hautes Corbières, at the Roussillon border and at the foot of the Cathar castles. Our wines are made from the blend of three grape varieties (Carignan, Grenache noir, Syrah) that make up the FITOU appellation, the oldest appellation in Languedoc (1948), characterized by wild and preserved landscapes.
The Domaine Sarrat d'en Sol was born around a 14th century sheepfold surrounded by its ancestral vines. Years of welcoming winegrowers to this unusual place. And as a result: the creation of a modern wine cellar.
"One evening, the soul of the wine was singing in the bottles: I know how much pain, sweat and burning sun it takes to stand on the burning hill..." Charles Baudelaire.
