Anecdotes about the domain
For me, viticulture is not a job, it is a culture, a way of life. I take pleasure in the vinification to satisfy my customers and myself. The harvest is partly done manually and mechanically. The pneumatic pressing allows to obtain juices of any smoothness and the wine making is made freely, by leaving the time to ferment to the wines.
The domain's short story
Fabrice took over the running of the estate in 2001, and works with sustainable farming methods. Our vines allow us to produce about twenty wines on our wine list. Our 8.5 ha farm is located in the middle of the village where our parents and grandparents lived before us. Today, it is up to us, Jean-Marie, Simone and Fabrice to offer you a wide range of products. The generic AOC wines, AOC Crémant, the Cuvées des Anges, the Cuvée Elena, the Cuvée Léa NATURE as well as the lieux dits Zellberg, Heissenberg and the Grand Cru Muenchberg. After his studies and some professional experience, Fabrice joined the estate in 2001. He took over the direction of the cellars for his first vinification under the watchful eye of his father. He embarked on new adventures and allowed his estate to grow from 7 vintages to 20 today, for your pleasure.
The winemaker's pride
Winegrower in the commune of Nothalten for 3 generations, we work our vines on hillsides whose soil often varies. This allows us to produce wines with character... We organize daily tastings that allow us to follow the evolution and decide on the balance to give to each of our wines. It is in a concern for excellence for our wines that we magnify them and work so that from year to year their qualities are the best possible.
