Our story

The Templars' vineyard is an estate steeped in history. Although the estate was created in 2016 by Bastien and his parents, a long history begins in 1138.The commandery of Roaix was established by the bishop of Vaison-la-Romaine, in 1138, with the support of several nobles, who offered goods and properties.Nowadays, only the apse of the Templars' chapel remains. It is the jewel of the Domaine Laurens, built on a magical place, inspiring calm and serenity. The current winery is located in the apse. The Templar vineyard was acquired by the Laurens family in the 1970s. They made the estate prosper but also rehabilitated the whole architecture.

Other little stories

All the labels of the Domaine Laurens wines are written in Braille. Julia, the daughter of Françoise and Bruno is blind. The first red wine "Pour toi Julia" was created in Julia's honor. The apse of the chapel has been the place of many romantic reunions during the last two centuries. Lovebirds engraved their names and their happiness. Messages from the last three centuries are still visible.The first vintage of Abacus 2019 (white and grey grenache) was immediately included in the menu of Alexandre Mazzia's restaurant in Marseille. Three stars in the latest Michelin guide and best chef 2021.
