Anecdotes about the domain

In the past, on the occasion of his daughter's wedding, the winegrower reserved a barrel called "wedding barrel". Thus named, it was offered to all his guests. Kept on its lees, the wine developed a real thrill in the mouth: the perlant. Since then, the tradition has become a winemaking method, applicable to the entire MUSCADET family. Today, Muscadet wines from the best terroirs are nourished all winter by their fine lees (natural fermentation yeasts) which rest at the bottom of the barrel or tank. These Muscadet Sur Lie are thus finer, more aromatic and develop a freshness and a flavor worthy of the best tables.Muscadet are among the oldest wines of Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée in France.

The domain's short story

Installed in 1985, on the family property of La Haye-Fouassière (right bank of the Sèvre Nantaise), the exploitation grew steadily and migrated in 1994 to La Févrie in Maisdon-sur-Sèvre (left bank). We arrived in the existing cellars of our Uncle, who was retiring.

The winemaker's pride

Our vineyard is located on both sides of the Sèvre Nantaise, the Haye-Fouassière (right bank) and the Févrie in Maisdon-sur-Sèvre (left bank), in the heart of the Nantes vineyard, on well exposed and renowned soils. Raised on clay and chalk soils, our grape varieties : Melon de Bourgogne, Folle Blanche, Gamay, Cabernet... give aromatic wines of great finesse...
