In the commune of Saint Lambert du Lattay, the estate is located on one of the largest terroirs in the Loire Valley, Anjou. The soils are composed of quartz, clays, sand and gravel on schist. The 20 hectares of the estate are used for organic farming.
It was during our common experience on the largest estate in Corsica that we met and the project emerged. With a rewarding and galvanizing experience, we realized that it was possible to undertake with a little envy and energy. From then on, we started visiting several estates before arriving in Anjou.
After some great meetings in the region we were looking for a domain that resembles us and it was at the Domaine des Chesnaies that we saw the opportunity to develop new wines with a strong heritage. Today, our intention is to develop the estate towards something that suits us better, we have migrated to an organic culture and our nine vintages tell the story of our relationship with the Earth, leaving it open to interpretation and questioning.
We are very attached to the values of Nature and what results from the Earth. Once the wine is in the mouth of another person, it no longer belongs to us, we want to propose wines that make you want to question yourself, to stop, leaving room for interpretation and this co-creation, tasting, which makes our profession so special and so fabulous.
