By taking over their grandfather's estate, Etienne and Mathieu give it a second life and allow the family history and values to continue. They wish to break with Alsatian conformism and also to produce wines that retranscribe the specificities of their terroir with the least possible intervention; this is why they converted the estate to Biodynamics.
Born from a will to innovate and an immense desire for freedom, the Vignoble du Rêveur is a new chapter in the history of the Mischler vineyard, the estate of my grandfather and my maternal uncle. The vines are worked in Biodynamie and the wines are vinified with little or no sulfur. Three vintages, three emotions, one project: to be creative, open to the world and especially to nature.
By reviving this vineyard located near Colmar, in the commune of Bennwihr, it is the entire history of a family and its values that continues. For Mathieu, the goal and responsibility is to anchor his work in the future of Grand Vins. To do this, he has only one course of action: to seek the truth of the fruit and to guarantee the transparency of practices. He is not afraid to break with conformist Alsatian practices, on the contrary, he seeks to go beyond the limits of the grape variety by working with the grapes in a different way, through new vinifications (maceration, vinification in amphorae, drawing off, without filtration, without sulphur...).
