Les Domaines Bunan

Our family vineyard is located on La Cadière d'Azur and Le Castellet. We cultivate a little more than 30 hectares of vines on stony agrilocalcareous soils. Mourvèdre and Grenache are our little favourites, we grow them on most of the estate. The vines that host its two grape varieties are 45 years old, the sunshine of the vineyard is ideal and thanks to the quality of our terroir, we also cultivate olive trees, apricots, almond trees and immortal trees. This ensemble forms a perfect harmony and the vine can develop at its own pace thanks to the geological diversity present. we try to express our wines according to the different terroirs we cultivate. The production is limited to about twenty vintages of white, red and rosé wines. It is Pierre, Paul, and now their children, who are working to meet this daily challenge on the Bandol appellation.

Our story

In the family, we really believe that by respecting the vine and its environment, the wines will be better and above all will better express the terroirs on which they are produced. We are committed to Organic Agriculture and we are even opening up to biodynamics today. The use of products to maintain the vines and the soil is limited to 100% natural products, and this family of builders reflects a philosophy of authenticity: "you make good wine when you respect the vines". Today, its commitment is manifested through organic farming and the opening to bio-dynamics, and only natural products now protect grapes and soil. On each of the terroirs, the red, rosé and white wines of the Moulin des Costes in La Cadière d'Azur and those of Château la Rouvière in Le Castellet express a different identity with the Mourvèdre, the king grape variety of the Bandol appellation, which gives this character to each of the red and rosé vintages. To reveal the soul of the wine by staying as close as possible to nature and respecting traditional winemaking methods. The maturing for 18 months and more in oak casks give our red wines the distinction of long-lasting wines... All year round the Bunan family will welcome you with pleasure.
