We are located in the Rhône Valley, in the famous town of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. We cultivate about 75 hectares of vines on three different estates and we also vinify in our more than 100-year-old oak barrels. Our wines are marked by the most famous appellations of the Rhône Valley such as Crozes-Hermitage, Côte-Rôtie, Gigondas or Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
Our partners for the vinification of our wines are long-term partners, which ensures that our quality wines are similar and environmentally friendly. On our 75 hectares, we are also committed to protecting the ecosystems present in the vine: we are labelled Terra Vitis vineyards.
We offer Rhône wine lovers a wide range of wines ranging from powerful and full red wines to light and fruity cuvée: a total of 20 vintages, including an eau de vie, are on offer for tasting at our Châteauneuf restaurant!
Charles Brotte, Jean-Pierre Brotte and his wife Jeanne were all at the root of the creation of Maison Brotte. They are respectively grandfather, father and grandmother of Laurent Brotte who is now the General Manager of the company since 1998.
When he arrived, he began what he liked to call the "mini revolution": he began the efforts that would lead the estate to obtain the Terra Vitis label in 2014. Supported by food engineers and oenologists, Christine Brotte, Director of the Production Department, makes it a point of honour to manage the vineyard in the most natural way today.
From the tools used for sorting to punching down for purer extraction of aromas and limiting pumping, the Brotte family puts its heart into the work to protect its vines and try to extract the best from them. Our cellar is now composed of 200 oak barrels and 35 casks.
Laurent is sometimes described as a "globetrotting company manager". Today, it is all together at the estate and in a good mood that we make our wines. Thibault and Benoit, the sons of Laurent and Christine, have now joined the House and can count on Cyril Tisopulot, the house's oenologist present since the 13th vintage, to make increasingly successful vintages!
