Our estate covers 15 hectares in the Pic Saint Loup appellation in Languedoc. To the north of Montpellier, we cultivate our vineyard with total respect for the environment and have chosen to preserve and develop the ecosystems present in the vineyard.
The landscape in which we work every day is breathtaking: between cliffs and valleys, the vines are surrounded by the Mediterranean scrubland. The smell of thyme and rosemary permeates the vineyard when the heat arrives at the beginning of summer. The vine benefits from this by benefiting from ideal sunshine.
In the vineyards, we do not use any weedkillers but we opt for the use of organic compost and fertilizers to develop soil fertility. The harvest is done only by hand and the vinification is carried out in such a way that the grapes can express their terroir once bottled.
The history of our vineyard is quite recent. We are building on its strength and working in a modern way while respecting the traditional skills of the region's elders. In 2011, Mas de l'Oncle was created following its acquisition by Fabrice.
Fabrice, a career building engineer, decides to go back to his roots. Passionate about his land and nature lovers, he sees in this plot the perfect opportunity to create an ambitious project in the spirit of the times.
After having re-habilitated the vineyard and successfully produced the first vintages, we opened ourselves to welcoming visitors to the estate. For us, it was a logical way to transmit our passion for our land, our region and our products.
At Mas de l'Oncle, you will feel like a winegrower! Our activities are designed so that you can understand our business and how we make wine from vine to glass.
