Our new cellar, created in 2013, is located in the centre of the village of Corbonod. It offers a friendly and warm space for the wines of the Seyssel and Savoie regions, and discover the two varieties of the Seyssel PDO, Molette and Altesse (Roussette), through 6 vintages of white wines and the Traditional Method. You can taste: Clos de la Péclette, la Tacconnière, le Seyssel Mousseux 1931, la Molette, as well as our wines of Savoy Wine, Mondeuse, Gamay red and rosé, Pinot noir, Apremont and Crémant de Savoie. Not to mention the "Rosta" and the natural or sparkling grape juice. Here you can find our two estate vintages: Clos de Péclette and Seyssel Mousseux 1931.
The Mollex family of the Pays de Seyssel has been cultivating vines for several centuries, since 1359. It was not until 1931 that Mollex was registered in the commercial register. It was Ernest and Marguerite Mollex who launched themselves into the wine market by being among the first to offer bottled wine in addition to bulk wine. Ernest Mollex was a character with character and the methods of a tough school, combining will, firmness and a taste for a job well done. It was part of all the battles; in particular those that led to the creation of the union in 1927 and the creation of the AOC Seyssel in 1942, from this period onwards the Maison Mollex will develop, over the years and generations; first of all thanks to Georges and René Mollex in the 1960s, then Jean-Pierre and Jean-Luc in the 1980s and today, after the brutal disappearances of René and Jean-Pierre in 2006, it is Sébastien's turn to pursue the line.
Laurent GÉRRA particularly appreciates our wines like Michael DRUCKER who has spoken about them several times on France 2
