Discover Plaimont and its appellations: AOC Saint Mont, AOC Madiran, AOC Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh, IGP Côtes de Gascogne. Your guide will introduce you to the notions of local terroirs and grape varieties by walking through the vineyard plot of a great wine, and will share with you the secrets of winemaking and maturing through the visit of the cellar. A commented tasting of 1 wine from each of our 4 appellations will close the visit in the magnificent vaulted cellar of the Monastery of Saint-Mont, dating from the 15th century.
Located in the heart of the southwest, the Plaimont vineyard extends from the foothills of the Pyrenees to the rolling hills of Gascony. Cultivating exclusively native grape varieties (Tannat, Pinenc, Manseng Noir, Gros et Petit Manseng, Colombard...), working with respect for the environment, Plaimont's winegrowers are proud of their unique plant heritage, including a 200-year-old prephylloxera vineyard plot, registered as a Historic Monument... They have always been involved in the development and animation of their territory, rich in traditions and events. That is why they invite you to come and discover their appellations, castles, grape varieties and terroirs through guided tours of their vineyards.
