But that's not all! All wines are certified BIO and Demeter ! The aim was to enhance this exceptional sunny terroir with a very rich siliceous soil. The result: natural, refined and delicate wines, with a "terroir effect".
The Buecher family has been running the estate for 7 generations, maybe even 10, but we don't have the proof! Each generation has contributed a stone to what the estate is today: original and unique. It was Cécile and Amélie's father who stopped all diffusion of synthetic products in the vines in view of the state of health of their grandfather, suffering from Alzheimer's. Several years later, doctors proved that the use of chemicals in agriculture could cause this disease. Like what, he had intuition... But that's not all! Amélie and Cécile's uncle being a homeopath, the family wanted to try to apply homeopathy methods to the vine. The two girls then studied wine trade and travelled between Vancouver and Florida. When they come back, it's like a matter of course. This human-sized vineyard allows them to pay particular attention to the vine. They obtain Demeter certification in order to promote the biodynamic work undertaken by their parents. They apply the knowledge they have learned at school and on various trips. They make their own compost, till the soil with horses and vinify according to the lunar cycle. For them, if the lunar cycle is 28 days, like that of a woman, it is no coincidence...
Our key words are innovation and originality, to which we have added a touch of madness straight from the Astres. For us, the cultivation of the vine rhymes with patience. Thus, every year it is nature that guides us. The terroirs are so varied that we can produce unique and distinctive wines whose signature is that of our house. We sublimate this land and let it express itself in our wines with the greatest finesse.
We consider picking to be the beginning of an era: the birth of what will give our wines their character. Thus, we pay particular attention to our grapes by harvesting them manually and rigorously selecting the most beautiful grapes. We then continue to magnify these fruits by letting them mature in a cellar for 12 months before entrusting you with our bottles.
