The Dom Brial vineyards are present in 30 communes of Roussillon and are spread over more than 2100 hectares. It is in Baixas, a historical site for the House, that a third of the total production area is concentrated. Gradually, the vineyard spread to nearby villages such as Calce, Rivesaltes or Peyrestortes, and many grape varieties are cultivated on soils of various qualities. For red wines, Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Carignan are matured on medium altitude agrilocalcareous slopes. For the whites, schist soils welcome Roussanne, Muscat Petit Grain or Macabeu, and we produce wines with different appellations such as Côtes Catalanes, Côtes du Roussillon and its derivative Villages, or Rivesaltes. Out of the fifteen vintages we offer for sale, we find very different dresses, noses and mouths, certified winegrowers in sustainable development, we are committed to trying to have a positive impact on the territory in its soils but also in its economic development.
Born in 1923 in Baixas, Dom Brial is today a recognized group of winegrowers in Roussillon. The history of the Maison méridionale was born from the observation that makes the strength of today's company: "Together, we will be stronger" Together, they are allied to face the wine crisis that France experienced at the beginning of the 20th century. Dom Brial, born in Roussillon, made recurring donations to the communes of Baixas and Pia to maintain the schools in these communes which accommodate the most disadvantaged children. The winegrowers of Dom Brial were able to maintain the course and perpetuate the activity launched by man a few decades earlier. Today, 247 winegrowers on more than 2100 hectares participate in the development of Dom Brial, supported by a team of 37 people who manage the cellar administratively.
