Since 1929, four generations of enthusiasts have followed one another in the heart of the Bordeaux vineyards. They have based all their knowledge on the cultivation of the vine and have never ceased to develop their skills in the wine industry. The vintages from these years write the pages of a family adventure. The estate is located in the catchment area between the Garonne and Dordogne rivers. Thus, there are only small streams. Ponds and ponds had to be dug to make water supplies. The vines are mainly located on clay-limestone soils and oriented south, south-west and south-east, with a favourable orientation for the cultivation of the latter, with moderate slopes.

Our story

The estate joined the family in 1929 under the name of Goulpier. After having been bakers in Doulezon, the Goulpier family sold their business at the end of the war, at the time of the Great Depression of 1929. Of the 12 hectares of the farm, 10 were dedicated to polyculture and 2 to vines. At that time, they made mostly sweet and mellow whites. We recovered 15 hectares of vines and slowly started the red wine. In 1974, Michel Falgueyret inherited the vineyard. He was 15 years old when he started working and learned the winegrower's trade from his father. At the age of 21, he became a vineyard manager on a 40-hectare estate for 5 years before taking over the family estate. Working for Spaniards, he learned Spanish, working as a treasurer and agricultural expert, he learned to manage the estate he inherited... When he started working on the family estate, Michel Falgueyret started working the vines with a draught horse before going into mechanics. The oil shock of 1972 allowed him to develop property through the inflation system. He bought land and the three houses around his estate. Michel Falgueyret thus expanded his property with 35 hectares of vines and 7 hectares of cereals. The estate thus became a wine estate. But the domain has not lost its soul, it is always worked with individuals or people who know its philosophy, indeed, it is not organic but it pays attention to nature, and this requires observing it in order to know when to treat it, where and how. In 2008, Catherine took over the vineyard with her husband Sébastien Léglise. For two years, the old generation worked with the new generation in the transmission of family know-how. The panorama and the location of a hill in Castelviel seduced Catherine and Sébastien who, in 2010, acquired Château Terre Blanque. With 60 hectares of vines and projects in sight...

Other little stories

To be a winegrower means above all a passion, an art... Our parents and grandparents transmitted to us through their passion the virus of viticulture and the profession of winegrower. We wish everyone to have it! A lot of time spent, a lot of work done with a desire to do things right. It is with great pride that we take up this challenge. We make our wines according to the terroir, an exposure, what we expect from it and each wine has its specificity, its temperament, its elegance.

We adapt from year to year to our customers, to the specific demands of certain markets while keeping our own identity. We are constantly trying to be as close as possible to our consumers by listening to their desires. Our region is rich in flavours and authenticity that you can't do without.
