Champagne VIELLARD-MILLOT - millésimé - Pétillant - 2012
36€40

Sustained gold, delicate effervescence. The nose is powerful, rich; white fruits and honey. The palate is full, generous, vinous, toasted, before a surprisingly fresh finish.

The word of the Winemaker, :

The balance between sugar and acidity gives our 2012 vintage an exceptional capacity to gain in aromatic complexity over the years while preserving a certain freshness. 2012 offered a very good maturity of the grapes, amplified by the low volume of this harvest.

Tasting

When ?

By being served slightly less fresh than a young Champagne, without misting on the glass, the 2012 Vintage will perfectly reveal the complexity of its aromas. Serve it in beautiful wine glasses rather than in classic flutes.
2012 was an exceptional year: this vintage can still flourish for another 5 to 10 years in a beautiful cellar in order to offer all its complexity and richness.

How ?

Creamy dishes of white meat, wild mushrooms, game birds: refined but solid dishes. A "muscular" Champagne

The Wine Estate

Since 1822, the Millot family's farm has been home to the vineyard in Ambonnay, one of the 17 Grands Crus of Champagne. The plots face south / south-east, spread over the entire fining area and worked in a sustainable way, without insecticide. The vines, with an average age of 40 years, are divided between 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay.
