Château Carpe Diem has a reputation for producing terroir-driven wines combining finesse and personality, and we are proud to see our vintages regularly rewarded (Guide Hachette, Guide Bettane et Desseauve, Wine Enthousiast, La Revue des Vins de France, among others)
Our estate covers some 30 hectares within the AOP Côtes de Provence and AOP Coteaux Varois en Provence appellations. Located in the charming village of Cotignac, in the heart of Provence Verte, it embodies the authenticity and richness of the Provencal terroir.
Since our takeover in 2013, we have passionately perpetuated the values that have forged the success of Château Carpe Diem for over 30 years: a deep respect for the land, a commitment to prioritizing the quality of our wines, and the conviviality that characterizes our premises and our daily welcome.
Our wines, beyond their history, are crafted to accompany beautiful moments and satisfy epicureans. Carpe Diem!
Over 10 years ago, we decided we wanted a new life for ourselves and our family. Our project? To work close to nature, to give expression to a terroir, and to bring forth from our hands a product that provides a shared emotion.
Our choice to cultivate the land and produce wine in harmony with nature was a natural one. We have opted to follow the lunar calendar to punctuate our viticultural and oenological activities. To preserve and develop biodiversity on our estate, we have adopted a variety of practices, from grazing sheep in winter to planting cover crops, installing beehives and planting hedges.
Biodynamic viticulture has been our guiding principle, ensuring that our wines are produced with respect for the earth, the vines and the grapes, and without the use of superfluous inputs.
Twice a week in season, and by reservation out of season, we offer visits from the vineyard to the winery, followed by guided tastings. What a pleasure it is to talk about our terroir, organic and biodynamic farming, winemaking techniques, and then enjoy the fruits of our labor. Of course, tastings are available all year round.
