Château Castigno - château castigno rouge - Rouge - 2012
28€05

Intense deep ruby colour, with hints of black, very dark and superb tears on the edge of the glass. Château Castigno Rouge is characterised by an intense and very complex nose. A wide palette of powerful but round aromas and tannins, still marked by the wood: notes of very ripe fruit, blackcurrant, liquorice, forest fruits, garrigue, leather and tobacco, both on the nose and in the mouth.

The word of the Winemaker, :

"The Great Lord." This wine is both full of sunshine and concentrated, very elegant and perfectly balanced. What nobility! Its ageing potential is immense. It will be perfect for special occasions.

The Wine Estate

Do you know Château Castigno, this isolated little jewel in the Saint-Chinian appellation, in a setting of pristine scrubland and red earth of remarkable beauty...? This estate located at the foot of the Haut Languedoc park in the Hérault at an altitude of about 250m enjoys a rare and privileged location, it is of course grown organically. Most of the vines are more than 50 years old with a low production which allows Château Castigno to focus on the best wines.
