Intense, deep colour, rimmed with oranges, signs of the evolution of the oldest vintages. Complex nose of spices (pepper, grey pepper), red fruits (redcurrants, raspberries) and black fruits, lively and fresh on the palate, with tannins that are present but coated. Nice keeping too.
A very atypical cuvée because it is 100% Cabernet Franc (rare in Bordeaux) and it is a Solera, i.e. a blend of several vintages. In this case 7 vintages in this bottle!
Cabernet Franc is a complex, lively, spicy and rather powerful grape variety. This is what also defines the dishes with which it will delight. And so will we!
Top on a beef bourguignon or veal marengo because it is spicy, powerful and complex. Tajines à la française too, curries not too spicy anyway. But don't worry, it's also great on our grilled entrecote and rib steaks!
