Château de Chaintres - terre de brézé - Blanc - 2019

Colour: Pale yellow with golden highlights. Nose: Complexity of white fruits and citrus fruits (pomelo, lemon zest). Palate : A mineral attack followed by an ample and generous mouth. Long finish on the maturity of citrus and yellow fruits. This cuvée was born from a principle of "Fermage" where the Château does not own the land but manages the vineyard, the agricultural follow-up, the work of the soil, the herbs, the vines. Hand picking only. Slow pressing at reception for a light-coloured extraction, with separation of the juice qualities. Fermentation in temperature-controlled vats with indigenous yeasts only, at a temperature of 18°C. 5 months maturing on fine lees in large wooden vats. Slight sulphiting and filtration at bottling, depending on the pH level.

The word of the Winemaker, :

Strict specifications are followed right up to the harvest, carried out by the Château's teams under the watchful eye of its Winemaker and Oenologist Jean-Philippe Louis, who is leading the Château towards the conversion to Biodynamics and the certification of these plots.
