Dress: Supported, ruby. Nose : Shimmering aromas of lily and violet, notes of black cherry from Meched, and black pepper. Palate : The juice is fruity with a delicate and digestible finish. The porphyroid granite gives off a scent of heated stones. in the sun. Nice chew. A wine for laying down.

A plot-based (Monopole) cuvée from one of the 11 cadastral "lieux-dits" (land registry offices) located in the Brouilly appellation, from Château de La Chaize. Magnificent steep hillside, located at the back of the Château. South-East exposure. One of the greatest terroirs of Brouilly.

The Wine Estate

Since its birth in 1676, this beautiful wine château built on plans by Jules-Hardouin Mansart and André Le Nôtre - whose main door was carved with a Bacchus, God of wine - has remained a family home. The descendants of the founder, Jean-François de La Chaize d'Aix, looked after the estate for nearly three hundred and fifty years. In 2017, they passed it on to another family, that of Christophe Gruy. Determined to magnify this remarkable vineyard with the greatest respect for nature, he developed, with Boris Gruy - his nephew and Director of Operations of the estate - a daring ecological approach: conversion to organic viticulture, then biodynamic viticulture, recovery of each by-product of the winegrowing activity in a zero-waste dynamic, use of machinery, vehicles and equipment running solely on electricity with the goal of "zero CO2 emissions", and a parcel-by-parcel approach.
