This majestic 850-hectare estate near the Mediterranean Sea comprises a 100-hectare vineyard and a 10-hectare olive grove (that's around 3,000 olive trees!). This unique terroir offers ideal geological and climatic conditions. The vineyard is cultivated according to the principles of sustainable agriculture, and has been certified organic since 2020.
In Roman times, garrisons were stationed at Lastours and a fortress watched over the rural roads leading to the Via Domitiana. From the 13th century to the French Revolution, wealthy lords lived in comfort at the Château. In the Corbières region, vine-growing became increasingly important in the 19th century. Two successive families forged the reputation of the estate's wines. In 1940, Lastours became the property of writer Louis-Pierre Lestringuez, who wanted to get away from occupied Paris. But the immense property was neglected, and the château and its vineyards gradually declined. In 2004, a passionate family took over this beautiful, neglected land. Organic practices, plot-by-plot selection, energy savings, wine tourism: the precise work carried out by the Allards is worthy of this terroir and its long history!
