Château de Peyrel - bergerac sec - Blanc - 2016
11€60

A clear and brilliant wine with a golden yellow colour, the nose is fruity with aromas of William pear, yellow peach, mirabelle plum, all enhanced by white pepper. They are very finely discovered to give way to a full, silky and balanced palate, with a fresh finish on a slightly woody note.

The word of the Winemaker, :

A wine that revisits the dry white Bergeracois, with semillion and muscadelle, in pellicular maceration for several days. A new approach to the terroir.

Contenance : 75cL - Contenant : Bouteille

The Wine Estate

The château ceased to be a wine producing estate in the 1950s. The estate, which originally consisted of 600 hectares of land, including about 100 hectares of vines, has been sold to several owners. The vineyard surface was partially destroyed by phylloxera at the beginning of the last century, and given the Périgord's cultural habits of polyculture, they did not replant the lost vines, and turned to other agricultural activities.
