Château de Sassangy - Domaine Musso - bourgogne aligoté - Blanc - 2018

Bourgogne Aligoté is a white wine, all in freshness. Good child, a little impertinent, fruity, it is dressed in pale gold. Its bouquet is floral (acacia, hawthorn) and fruity (apple). On the palate, this tender and flowing wine de-stunts the taste buds with hazelnut notes that come through on the finish.

The word of the Winemaker, :

The Aligoté grape variety has been known in Burgundy since the 17th century. It can be found in Saône-et-Loire, Côte d'Or and Yonne reflecting the diversity of these terroirs. This grape variety benefits from the appellation BOURGOGNE since 1937. It represents 6% of the Burgundian grape varieties.

Wine information

When ?

To be enjoyed now and to keep up to 5 years - Service: 11 to 12°C

How ?

Its liveliness and citrus note resist well to the iodine of oysters as well as the strong smell of goat cheese. More simply, it will accompany all your vegetable dishes (salad, tabbouleh or steamed vegetables). It is also a faithful companion of Burgundy gougères, snails and parsleyed ham.

The Wine Estate

It is in the valleys of the hinterland of the Côte Chalonnaise, between vineyards and meadows, that we discover the Château de Sassangy, in the romantic setting of its English-style park, owned by the Musso family. Within the 280-hectare agricultural and family estate, Jean and Geno Musso have since 1979 planted and developed the 50 hectares of vines on the estate in scrupulous compliance with the European specifications for organic viticulture (ECOCERT F32600 certification). The plots, spread over the Côte de Beaune, Côte Chalonnaise and Côte du Couchois, are planted on clay-limestone soils and are exposed to the rising sun. Organic viticulture methods allow us to obtain lively soils and healthy vines in a quality environment, thus developing the expression of the terroir.
