All in unctuousness, the 2005 is fat, with persistent scents, with characteristic notes of lime and apricot, of a beautiful fullness, rich and complex, very persistent, of beautiful guard. (Guide Dussert-Gerber 2013). Golden yellow color. Very nice nose with notes of white flowers, jasmine, quince. In the mouth: ample, combining finesse and elegance. Very good length. More floral in the nose than in the mouth. Very fine wine. (Petit Futé Gironde 2011/2012). Just by its color, we can see that this vintage is a little more closed, but it is fresh and nervous, on fruits and flowers. On the palate, the structure is ample and divided between freshness and mellowness. 16/20 - (GaultMillau 2011) Ample and generous. 17/20 - (Guide d'achat des crus RVF 2009 - September 2009). The 2005 is a generous wine, with a beautiful noble rot. 17/20 - (Revue du Vin de France Classification of the best wines of France 2007). 2005 was appreciated for its aromatic framework where fresh citrus notes dominate. We are more on a style of over-ripening. Nice balance. 16,5/20 - (GaultMillau 2007) Good vinosity and some concentration. There is plenty of rich fruit without ultimate style. 15/20 - (Decanter Supplément Bordeaux - July 2006). Honeycomb, hawthorn, lime blossom, well botrytized with hints of lichen, dense, well-balanced mouthfeel, nice liquor supported by acidity, long finish of sweet spices. O = 2010 G = 20 years. 16/20 - (Le point - Bordeaux Millésimes 2005 - May 11, 2006). Well roasted, very ample and tasty wine, made according to the rules of the art, long, with perhaps a little less precision in the definition than others, but really worthy of the terroir of the vintage.
