The Grenache plot is located about 280 meters away and the Syrah plot is about 340 meters away. The grapes are picked by hand at optimal maturity at the beginning of October, with a very strict selection of berries and total destemming. The Syrah-Grenache co-fermentation takes place in wooden vats. Aged for 18 months in a selection of extremely fine grain barrels, half of which are new and the other half for one year.
Through this cuvée, Paul and Edith Chaudière have sought to find a perfect harmony between Grenache and Syrah. They chose the name Artemia because, in ancient Greek, it means good health and integrity. 2004 was the first vintage of this new top-of-the-range wine from the Château's family estate...
Very aromatic nose, with notes of roasting, black fruit and good minerality. The very balanced palate combines the fruit and power of syrah with the richness, smoothness and spices of old grenache.
Serve at 18°C to accompany terrines, roasted or grilled red meats, meat in sauces, game. We recommend in particular the combination with duck and truffle brouillade.
Un superb Vallée du Rhône!
Holy moly! Strap on your big boy pants! This wine is full bodied, but silky smooth with a complex bouquet of dark fruits and beginning to develop sencondary and tertiary aromas. Plenty of elegant tannins to keep this wine a few more years, but structured well enough to enjoy with dinner tomorrow night!
Quelle decouverte !!!! Vin de plaisir pour de belles occasions !!!! Bien équilibré. Idéal pour un bon repas entre ami.
Complex, very nice wine, a beautiful discovery! To be recommended!
This is a serious wine and represents serious value for the region!
