Tasted by Andreas Larsson, World's Best Sommelier 2007 Dark ruby with a violet hue. The nose is elegant with toasty notes, some wood, black berries and sweet spices. The palate has good fruit density, high but well-integrated tannins, layers of black fruit, finely tuned oak and a long, bold finish, nice potential
The word of the Winemaker, :
Château Pomeaux enjoys an exceptional location on the southern slope of the Pomerol plateau with a prestigious neighborhood of Château Petrus, Le Pin, Vieux Château Certain, Château Cheval Blanc and Château Figeac. Merlot Noir is the only grape variety planted on the 2.2 hectare estate. The average age of the vines is 45 years, which allows the production of intense, elegant and complex wines.
