The nose, deep and airy, reveals aromas of red fruits, white flowers and minerality that blend harmoniously with notes of liquorice, cocoa and light resin. The attack, dense and ample, is followed by a mid-palate with a velvety tannic structure where raspberry, wild strawberry, cherry and fruity rose are fully expressed. This aromatic palette is supported by cocoa bean, licorice, cedar with brioche, vanilla and slightly smoky notes. Its finish, with silky and tasty tannins, is of a beautiful length.

In May 2017, a cold wind from Siberia swept through the Bordeaux vineyards just as the vines were breaking bud*. Only 30% of the Château Taillefer vines were spared. But in our misfortune, it is the most beautiful plots that were preserved. After this episode of frost, the climate was favourable to the elaboration of an elegant wine.
