Marselan is a black grape variety resulting from a cross between Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache. It gives complex, very colourful and very fragrant wines (cocoa notes, smoky notes, spices, blackcurrant, raspberry, redcurrant, blackberry, jammy fruits, black olives, prune, liquorice...) rich in supple and harmonious tannins with a lot of fatness and length and a good ageing potential. Perfect to accompany a Mediterranean cuisine (Provencal stews, pizzas, black tapenades...).
