The colour is ruby, sometimes tending towards garnet, intense and brilliant. On the nose, the red fruit "peaks": raspberry, cherry, a hint of morello cherry. The black fruit (blackcurrant, blackberry) enhances this lively and fresh aromatic range with a more heady tone. When older, Irancy evokes spices, truffles, leather and undergrowth. On the palate, Irancy is quite full-bodied and rich, with a marked balance between body and liveliness. The tannic structure is light but has a smoothness in the mouth. A few years of ageing will give it elegance and depth.

The word of the Winemaker, :

Nestled at the bottom of a valley on the right bank of the Yonne, upstream from Auxerre, Irancy offers the magnificent image of a winegrowing village and a wine as delicate as it is authentic.

Tasting

When ?

Irancy expresses all its freshness and vivacity in its youth (2-3 years) and will be able to express its potential up to 7-8 years of ageing. Serve between 12 and 14°C.

How ?

Perfect with charcuterie, marbled ham as a starter, accompanying meats in sauce, duck with olives, salted lentils or local cheeses (Epoisses, Chaource, soumaintrain) and chocolate desserts

The Wine Estate

When they created their estate in 2013, Celine and Frédéric, both from a wine-growing family, had one wish: to integrate the vine into their environment. To do this, they practice sustainable agriculture that preserves their rich and varied terroir. It is therefore with as much passion as reason that this couple offers you a palette of delicate and fruity wines!
