A square and virile wine, its character is nevertheless softened by a significant fruitiness and a certain roundness on the palate. It is therefore quite normal that meat is the first to adopt it.

Its average aromatic strength will thus satisfy terrines and pâtés, roasted or pan-fried offal, supple meats such as roast pork or pork in sauce, long roasted lamb and braised veal. It prefers cheeses with a strong flavour: Epoisses, Langres, friend of Chambertin.
