Tasting: The Eye: Deep garnet red colour. The Nose : Notes of red fruit jam, blackcurrant and cherry, then a mix of raspberry and blackberry. The Palate: Smooth and soft on the attack. The tannins are silky, giving structure without aggressiveness. The finish is full-bodied and there are more spicy notes than on the nose.

Wine information


When ?

Uncork 1 hour before serving, temperature between 17° and 18°. It will keep between 5 and 7 years.

How ?

It goes easily with all red meats in a slightly spicy sauce. I prefer it with roasted pheasant and candied figs!

The Wine Estate

"La Ganse" is a Provençal term that designates the space to turn with the plough between two rows of vines... this name "La Ganse" was an obvious one, a word that sings in the mouths of my elders since my earliest childhood, I had to come full circle. I created Domaine de La Ganse in 2008, on 3.5 hectares of land that my parents had left me. Over the last ten years I have been able to acquire neighbouring plots on the Garrigues de Sarrians plateau, where the sun and the Mistral wind enjoy watching over this Appellation which is the Cru de Vacqueyras. Today, my estate consists of nearly 9.2 hectares of vines. I have been running my vineyard organically since 2011 and I obtained the certification with the 2014 vintage.
