An exceptional cuvee, it is only made when the vintage permits with its long 30-month aging in Tronçais forest oak barrels. The Fou du Roi 2014 is powerful, fine and silky at the same time. A vintage that will certainly find a privileged place on your beautiful tables.

The Fou du Roi de Rocheville does not fail to live up to its reputation and plays the troublemaker of Saumur-Champigny. Atypical and expressive wine, it is powerful and velvety at the same time. On the nose it develops aromas of black fruits and notes of roasting. The mouth is elegant and lets express quickly the structure and the length.

Nous avons acheté ce vin directement au domaine il y a quelques semaines. C'est mon coup de coeur. Quel merveilleux travail des vignerons pour nous offrir un tel flacon. On ressent toute la patience et tous le terroir dans un ballet de fruits rouges et noirs bien mûrs accompagné de belles notes de torréfaction (tabac, pain d'épices, vanille, balsamique, cire d'abeille...).
Une merveille année 2011 pour un vin qui l'est tout autant.
