Domaine du Roure - pouilly fuissé « vieilles vignes » - Blanc - 2018

Golden in colour, its nose reveals notes of fresh brioche and smoky woody notes, complemented by a few citrus and floral notes. A sweet minerality full of truffles will surprise you in the end in order to prepare you for its power on the palate. Its delicious and exquisite power will come to the forefront to remind you of the full potential of this wine for ageing. However, toasted and roasted food can soften its mineral notes, which will be perfect with noble seafood, creamed chicken or a truffle-based sauce. Its length on the palate will then reveal its aromatic richness, which ranges from white flowers to acacia flower honey and ends with notes of fresh hazelnuts and fresh bread. At the very end of the palate, the whole woody, roasted, vanilla and slightly caffeinated bouquet will stand out.

The Wine Estate

At the foot of the Solutré rock on clay-limestone soils dating from the Jurassic period in the south of the Mâconnais is the Domaine du Roure. Our small family estate of about ten hectares produces wines made from Chardonnay grapes that flourish on different terroirs, which will allow you to discover a panel rich in aromas and scents.
