The estate was founded in 1927 thanks to the grandfather of the current owner Patrick Henry. He was then a wine merchant in Paris and left Parisian life to settle at the estate of Isle Saint Pierre. He then decided to plant vines and created a herd of sheep. The vineyard has reached a significant size of 170 hectares, all of which was initiated by Patrick and Marie-Cécile in 1972 when they chose to expand the estate. At the estate, the grape varieties used are Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and less well-known varieties such as Arinarnoa and Tannat. For white wines, the grape varieties used are chardonnay, sauvignon and muscat with small grains. Thanks to the expansion of the estate, we have chosen to test more exotic grape varieties for the region! That's the magic of wine!

Our story

The vineyard is located in the heart of the Camargue on a deep and well drained sandy-silt soil. The Mediterranean climate is tempered by the proximity of the sea and ponds. The Mistral plays a central role in the balance given to our vines and limits the health damage to the vine. We practice traditional harvesting methods without even using any chemical weedkillers because it is essential for us to protect our estate from the dangers associated with these terrible products for our future.

Other little stories

Our passion comes first of all from the soil and tillage, which allows us to obtain a deep root system in order to protect the vines from summer drought. I pay particular attention to the leaf surface of the vine in order to have a good balance between production and leaf surface exposed to light. All this in order to magnify my wines and please all our customers.

The climate of our region allows us to reach maturity early in the season by harvesting from the second half of August. All this prevents us from having to deal with the first autumn rains, which are very damaging to our vineyard! We have specifically chosen to keep the cellar in the centre of the vineyard and thus to prefer the use of high-performance harvesting machines. This ensures optimal harvest quality. All this thanks to the equipment of a stainless steel reception, a destemming and crushing system, pneumatic presses and a filtration system. We pay a lot of attention to the refrigeration unit which allows us to control the winemaking and storage temperatures of the wines.
