Chambolle-Musigny is a red wine often presented as the most "feminine" of the Côte de Nuits. The intensity and finesse are expressed with an elegant subtlety. To the eye, a bright ruby, haloed with bright and luminous reflections. It may darken a little, keeping all its shine. Violet, small red fruits (strawberry, raspberry) compose its bouquet of a marked typicality. Older, it evolves towards ripe spicy fruit, prunes, or truffles, undergrowth and animals. Rich, bouquety and complex, it covers the palate with silk and lace. Its fleshy delicacy does not prevent it from maintaining a solid and durable structure. Quite soft, not very acidic, its tannins remain caressing.

Its profile combining power and femininity will give it tasty and sophisticated meats such as game birds, in sauce for example, a capon de Bresse or a long roasted lamb, while for cheeses, prefer those with a sweet taste such as brilliant-savarin, reblochon, cîteaux, vacherin, brie de Meaux or chaource.
