The vast surface of the Grand Cru and the high number of Climats explain the nuances in the characters of these wines. The Corton has a deep purple color, dark red velvet with magenta density. Its bouquet is ample and expresses fruity accents (blueberry, redcurrant, kirsch) or floral (violet), evolving towards undergrowth, animal, leather, fur, pepper and liquorice. On the palate, it is powerful and full-bodied, structured, voluntarily demonstrative: chewiness and body. Firm and frank, fat, it needs time to blossom (4 to 12 years)

The word of the Winemaker, Jean Marc NAUDIN :
The Montagne de Corton brings together the villages of Ladoix-Serrigny, Aloxe-Corton and Pernand-Vergelesses. Forming an amphitheatre without any other example in the Côte, the Montagne de Corton produces Corton: "the king of the good-living ones" according to the expression of Camille Rodier.
Recognized on July 31, 1937, this Grand Cru is mainly available in red (it can then bear the name of its Climat, of which there are 25.

Tasting
When ?
From now on with a 10-year aging period. Operating temperature: 14 to 16 °C.
How ?
Solid and opulent, with great complexity, an impressive chew made of sensuality and structure at the same time. Intense cheeses with washed rind and blues will tame it. But it is with strong meats that it is best suited: with a piece of beef, roasted or grilled, and all game, feathered or furred, roasted, braised and of course in sauce.
