Deep cherry colour, purple with garnet hues, followed by a bouquet of small black and red fruits (blackcurrant, cherry, raspberry), as well as flowers (violet). The body is discreetly tannic, full-bodied. It preserves its fruit. Roundness and volume, balance and power in just the right proportions often evoke cherries with a beautiful elegance.

Its power all in roundness will accompany pleasant and tasty pieces of beef, or even a fried foie gras. On a crispy roasted poultry, its fleshy personality can play with the more aromatic ones of a lacquered or caramelized poultry. For cheeses, it prefers those with a sweet taste such as chaource, Brie de Meaux, tomme, reblochon, cantal, mont d'or, époisses.
